Volunteers make events successful. During the 1997 AAU Junior
Olympic Games, we had over 2,000 volunteers work 6,000 job
shifts over a 12-day period. The AAU presented the City of
Charlotte with a gold medal for its performance as a host
city. This was due in a large part to our tremendous volunteers.
The Charlotte Regional Sports Commission has a database of
over 2,000 trained and experienced volunteers. For information
